I gave two of the paintings to my son who loved them so.The one painting I kept is entitled "Spiritual Warrior." I often call it "Kali." This painting is the head and hand of a woman holding a white dove with her hair wild and flowing in many colors. I had some very bad times and lost most of my art, however, this painting is one of my beloved treasures and is something I would not part with because it is so special to me. It is a part of my altar. I just wanted to tell you how much your painting means to me. She always watches over me and is such an inspiration. I know that she is one of your early works. I am glad to have found you again and hope to someday be able to afford another of your works. Many blessings, Joan Hello, When I look at 'Spiritual Warrior' it brings me such an intense perception of love, peace, healing, loving-strength! And though the painting has been sold, only with this painting I have the feeling 'there's something in it for me'. I can look for a long time at the painting, tirelessly, intrigued, sensing a strong intuitive desire for what it represents. The most intimate sensation I have, is 'that is me', like I would be looking in a mirror. It really is as though I am looking in the mirror, as though my inner world is reflected in the painting...and asprects are shown which I usually feel unsure of, which I tend to fear,but the painting smoothens it, blotting out the fear and refurnishing it by faith, love, wisdom, compassion. It is as though I'm looking at a totally 'cleansed' and crystal clear image of my usual self-image, without the distortion. When I had my littlest boy, 3 years old now, during his birth I went out for some minutes and on the other side of consciousness "sense-saw" him given to me from a large, powerful being of white light. I am drawing preparatory sketches for a large oil painting of what I saw, but I feel nothing could ever measure up to the experience, so I don't know if it will be made.
